Kinda wished I had taken education more seriously, whether it be academics, jobs, or art. Life is always an ongoing learning opportunity, and unlike an old dog, we can still continue to learn new things and obtain new skills.

My art style at best is... mediocre compared to the many other artists, and I am a really competitive person, wanting to match other people and try to surpass myself.

I need to start over from the basics, rather than just getting the picture to look good, but knowing why it looks good.

I had always been envious of artists such as Tracy Butler (artist of Lackadaisy), Jen Sen (Spunky the bi-colored eye blue wolf), and Kelly Hamilton (artist of Roza, and her now ended comic Good cheese) and ScrewBald. But rather than trying to accelerate and match their skills, I need to start again from the basics and develop my own.

It's a humbling experience, seeing such well done works from such talented people, but I should try to learn to use it as a learning opportunity.
